It’s still at the rattle-can spray quality level,
but giving new life to one of my old, worn-out pieces through custom painting and actually getting to use it again—that’s the kind of joy I really enjoy.

I've been slowly practicing on weekends,
and one day, I plan to try out effects using anodizing, water transfer printing, and airbrushing too :)

My second custom paint project was originally a pair of New Frogskins (1996) in Matte Clear (03-102),
but now it’s been transformed into a Matte Clear Splatter Purple frame.
For the finish, I applied two coats of 2K urethane clear coat (matte).

I’m already thinking about which frame to paint next 🤣

Nice work.

Nothing wrong with spray cans at all. ;)
They say that 2K paints typically used with airbrushes form a much stronger coating.
However, due to the nature of my living environment, bringing a compressor indoors is practically impossible, so I’ve put that on hold for now :)
I can only work outdoors when the weather is nice šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

I am in the same situation for painting.

Hydrodipping is done in a large plastic container in the the kitchen sink with all the windows open.
