🦘Oakley Donor Lens Quick Reference Guide 2024

Just a question on base curvatures, what's the negatives of having something slightly off and what are the tolerances? Like say, in a Juliet frame, the BC should be 8.75 but are there significant issues with using lenses that are, say, 8.5, 8, 7.75, 7.5?

Id say anything from 7.25 toric to 8.75 will work. But certainly in RX lenses 7.5 to 8.5 is ideal for wraps that are 8+ oem

Ahh gotcha, but are there any long term downsides (non rx) to something that's off by .5 or 1 on base curvature? Also, almost forgot to pp you, will be doing so shortly 😅

No worries. I'm honestly forgetting, since that message is likely getting buried by a dozen or do messages per day lol.

No issues at all optically w that +/- 0.50 Diopter base curve. Since they were designed to be in a wrapped frame. With xyzOptics (which means most Oakley lenses have "base in prism" unlike other brands).

Hello does anyone have experience cutting Half Jacket 2 XL to Romeo 2 ? If so can you please share that info with me. I see it can be handcut but I wanted to know the details.
