Hi everyone!

I have been trying to find a comprehensive list that shows Sunglasses / Eyeglasses and its corresponding RX range but to no avail.

My prescription
OD(right) -3.00 -3.00 20 2.00
OS(left) -3.00 -2.75 20 2.00

I saw a thread here and people mentioned to go to their local Oakley, unfortunately am located 5 hours away from the store and I have language barrier as well (fairly new to a new country)

And trying everything in oakley website will be a pain.

Can someone help recommend sunglasses that can cater my prescription?

In all honesty, there are alot of frames that will fit that prescription.

Are you looking for a sport frame, a lifestyle frame, a shield lens, dual lens? Lets narrow it down a bit.

Hi Jim!

Thanks for asking. I am into cycling and I have been using my standard progressive lens. So my priority to buy will by something for Cycling. Then probably lifestyle if there are no sport frame.

Was looking into BiSphaera then Flak 2.0 but it seems my prescription is not possible.
Am actually not able to find something that fit my prescription. :(

Oh! And I looked at your collection, nice! very nice!

I'm going to assume based on your numbers above they are SPH, CYL, AXIS, ADD.

Online, Oakley does not allow a combination of sphere and cylinder to be over a total correction of -5.0. Both yours are over this.

You would need to go to a physical store to see what options they have. Any store that carries lux products should be able to investigate oakley lenses for you. You also may need to go to a non-oakley lens.

To be honest, I've never heard great things about high index lenses for frames like flaks. The way they mount in the frames leaves a huge ridge when it transitions to the actual lens and without doing measurements on person, like for PD, they could easily be ground wrong.

Thank you for pointing out that Oakley (online) doesn’t allow higher than -5.00.

save me time to try input on each item 😅

My prescription frame is the Centerboard.. but my eyes are so effed-up the lenses aren’t even Oakley.. 😢 but the frame is!

And my eyeglasses are the Pitchman R Carbon (Real carbon fiber unlike most)

Following this- also for Rx does it ever make sense to get the lenses made of real glass, or does that just not make sense given the purpose is as sunglasses. The X metals are already quite heavy, but I guess the shattering factor is an issue beyond weight for glass.
