Hey again, guys! I just want to thank you once more for your kindness and attention to my request about restoring my Valve 1.0s in the Official Fakes/Possible Fakes thread. I’ve been reading your Mad Labs and Lopaka’s DIY Garage (2.0) threads, and I’m really impressed by your dedication and love for Oakley. I really like your approach of fixing and customizing your own glasses rather than just buying new ones or paying someone else to repair them or do a customization.

The picture that @SpecialAdvisor shared really matches all the work and the amazing collections that @Lopaka KaMars has. Maximum respect! All the customizations I’ve seen from you so far are amazing. You’re truly a master at this, and I hope you will soon find the time and motivation to customize or restore models you’ve wanted to work on for a long time. Honestly, I even sometimes wonder if you two secretly worked in Oakley’s elite department, haha. It feels like you might have been the creators of the Mars or Valve models.

I’d really love to share my mission of restoring my own glasses with you. I’ll start with my Valve 1.0 as soon as they arrive from the seller next week. I’ve never done restoration on my Oakleys before, only thorough cleaning after long periods of neglect by previous owners. It’s not super complicated, though I’ve made some mistakes while cleaning, accidentally removing coating from logos on a few glasses and scratching lenses multiple times using poorly chosen household sponges or brushes. Back then, I didn’t realize how much I might regret it later, but no worries, now I know who to turn to, haha 😆

I have a relatively small collection, only 14 pairs, all different models, but from the best Oakley 🤞. Only two are completely new. The rest are slightly or heavily worn and need special attention, which I’ll definitely give them soon, haha. None of them are broken or cracked, just some chips, scuffs, and scratches here and there.

I’m still a beginner in this field and have a lot to learn, so please forgive me if I seem naive or make mistakes in some areas.

Below, I’ll share a few of my favorite glasses from my humble collection that I own and want to restore, and also find some replacement parts for.

I hope to get started on these glasses as soon as possible, though lately I’ve been quite busy. I’m a young man, but I’m really passionate about everything related to my Oakleys. I’ll definitely start writing and consulting with you about all future restoration missions. Mad Labs will definitely get the Valve 1.0 restoration mission.

Wishing you a great day and mood! I’ll attach some photos below 🙂.
