Getting back to the slight flat spots in the Cerakote, finally looked at my Gigawatt, and have the same, going to say it is where they flipped them over on a spraying stand, to finish off the rest of the coat on top of the frame.
I originally thought it was a clamping spot of sorts for the paint booth, but then started questioning why not where the rubbers go instead as it’s less noticeable there. So I asked Zach his thoughts on it and he explained “Those divots are where they sand away the plastic from when they come off the mold. They probably got a little aggressive smoothing out the tabs. Even noticed a miniscule blemish of a flat spot similar on the Ice Gigawatt that Zach did, guess that is just the only one drawback to custom coatings depending on how long you leave the paint to set and cure properly.
Otherwise, very happy with all the pairs in my collection.
