is the plastic molded on or removable?

Looks like the hinge is all plastic and the metal does not connect from the arm to the orbs or am I wrong about that?

The arm is a titanium skeleton with omatter around it. The front is titanium surrounded by omatter, with a built in titanium nose pad. The lens needs a screwdriver to remove the lenses. I think it's nice, not for the price. 40% coupon helped lol
