MRY Ultra Lenses - DWP lenses for $30

Ordered a set of MRY DWP for a pair of Gibston XL

Up until now I have just used their fairly basic shaped lenses....Holbrook, Mainlink etc etc

This will be the first "8 Curve" lense I've tried from them......will be interesting to see do I have issues getting them to fit.

Will report back in a couple of weeks.....after they arrive on the slow boat!!!
Think I might buy a Gibston XL in the "Steel" colourway to drop these DWP into (unless I like the Prizm Black Polarised that they come with and then DWP will go onto the subs bench)

I realize this is the MRY thread,but...
try Fuse & Revant
They are as good as Prizm, in my opinion

Tajima are even better, Urethane

On your recommendation, I have just bought my first pair of Costa's

Costa del Mar
Cut
Matte Havana Green Fade
Green 580P Mirror
The only thing from Costa that is more Vivid is the Copper Silver Mirror:

Something you can do:
buy frames with broken lens & buy the OEM lens from Costa Customer Portal
saves some money

but, one would need to do their homework first, because some frames only have that option in glass & sometimes simply not available:

This^ is the price for 580G (Glass)

& here is 580P

I inquired to Vonxyz about the Trail lens, their response:

I guess it is really just a different name for the Cobalt Rose, because this was the image:

seems like all these cheaper vendors are at least using the same tint concepts & perhaps even the same source

I am 100% positive that LensLog & Vonxyz come from the same source. The packaging & labeling was exactly the same.

Expecting the 'Trail' lens from PapaVida tomorrow, so I will confirm here if it is the same as Cobalt-Rose.

Have you checked if they are Polarized?

I got in a set of Orange Trail today from PapaViva, they look just like these, only they are not Polarized.

Cobalt seems to be the mirror color, over a Rose base-tint.
I like it, even better than the Smith ChromaPop Ignitor. It deserves the name Ignitor even more, because it seemed to set the visual environment on Fire.

It is supposedly 40% VLT, so even if it were polarized, it would be some of the weakest polarization ever seen.
In my experience, even a VLT near 20% leaves some room for improvement in the polarization.

Yes they are polarized.

Hmm, I guess I just got unlucky, or maybe I am checking polarity incorrectly?
I used my phone screen, no matter which angle, the view of the screen does not dim.

I am reading mixed results online, some claim they DID get polarized Cobalt-Rose from MRY & others not, but I think the place you ordered from may be indicative of that.

Their eBay stores may have a different version in the warehouses.
Some of the vendors I have bought from on eBay have a U.S. warehouse, but some items are labeled as having an extra $2 flat-fee for shipping from China.

I may continue using my Fly Fisherman glasses (Yellow Polarized) for low-light.
or maybe I will finally bite that figurative bullet & get some Prizm Trail for my Flak 2

one way to almost be sure you are going to get POLARIZED lens is to buy from a fishing shop, LOL!

The local Bajío dealer really seems to know what he is talking about.
He told me he orders from Florida & they assemble them per order & have them up here in just a few days.

I ordered the Violet Mirror Sigs model & sure enough, it shipped from Clearwater Florida.
The local guy used to do fishing tours there & developed a relationship with Bajío.

Says he would have them available for tourists to buy on their boat tours, because often they would bring non-polarized shyte to fish with, LOL!

I am really hammering PapaVida now, because I ordered purple & yellow socks, but they do not have them:

yet here they remain for order, so deceptive
& they cost more than any other vendor

I only purchased there, because I thought they had the colors I wanted.

Craziest polarisation I've ever seen...

The MRY Cobalt Rose....seems to be Polarised with a red filter.

Thanks for that. Mine from PapaViva stay the same throughout the rotation of the lens.

I guess we cannot expect a cheap lens with a high VLT to have very effective polarization.

The cheap method for polarizing is bound by Physics & once you reach 50% VLT the polarization becomes null & void.

I still have the polarized yellow-amber Flying Fisherman glasses, but the lens is TriAcetate & they fog up a little, due to being a full-rim.

I think I will contact the local seller today about getting a half-rim set with the polyC lens:

I have been a bit of turd about supporting locally owned businesses & guilty of ordering online a lot, just like so many modern people.

but I also could not bring myself to buying Bajío in-store for $250+tax, when I could get a flashier pair online for less than half that

due to arrive by Federal Express today

I messaged PapaViva right away after receiving their Non-Polarized lens, & of course they wanted proof.
They asked for a photo of their test-card through the lens. They did not actually include a test-card, but I have at least four on my desk, so I sent this:

This morning, about 02:22, they messaged me that this indicates that the lens is polarized.
So, I sent them this one for comparison, a truly polarized Oakley lens:

I doubt they will acquiesce to anything, but even if they did I will not be purchasing there again.

Using my Walmart gift-card credit, I ordered a Polarized Trail lens from Vonxyz, for Flak 2 - XL Style.
$22, & it appears to be the same everyone else calls Cobalt Rose.

Paid under $20 for using a promo-code.
now the wait!

Could have gotten it fast from eBay, but I do not have 'free' credit there.
