Anyone remember the old Megaforce label? With clients (kids) such as Anthrax and Metallica. I truly believe those guys were responsible for the whole thrash genre taking off.

I love Manowar. I had a live album from them when I was a kid. I had to buy it in the import section at Tower Records. Back then, that was the section to find unknown bands (at the time) like AC/DC, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, and of course Manowar.

I don’t know if you listen to podcasts, but if you do you might want to checkout “Let there be talk” w/ Dean Delray. Look for his Thrashuary ones with Kirk Hammett amongst others back in February.

I went from Metallica in the 80's. To Pantera in the 90's. To In flames and metalcore. It seems my tastes have gotten harder as I've gotten older. Maybe I'm just angrier. Hahaha. I don't listen to Podcasts. I've kept up in Hawaii via Metal Hammer and Revolver mags from the book stores.

I’m probably a tad older then you but Pantera is a definite must in any metal heads collection.

Slayer is my all time favorite.

And thanks to iTunes, I've been able to get music I would never be able to find here. Try Hatesphere. That's some brutal music. Dimension Zero and Soilwork are pretty mean too.

Hatesphere isn’t to bad but the other two aren’t for me.
