Oakley and Meta

Just looked into this…I’m tempted as I dig all things tech…but IMHO bad frame choice. I prefer Cheshirecat’s idea 🪖👍

I like the idea of being able to video while tinkering…like wrapping a MARS or doing a nose bridge tune up…or making leather patches…translates to pics and gifs for my Mad Labs thread.

So a limited edition HSTN on July 11th…which I think is a Desert Sand (which is kinda cool…). The rest of the collection at 399.00 by the end of Summer.

For me it’s not too painful at the 399.00 price point with a coupon or military discount.

I could see snagging the clear frame with transitions lenses…the brown smoke frame is also not bad. I assume clear or transition lenses are easy to get as it’s a current frame. That would be a must for any use I’d make of it.

As to where the data is going? I don’t spend much if any time on Facebook…but any assumption of privacy if you do spent time on social media is…ah…well…y’all can finish that thought as you will 😏

The basic idea could be fun…just wish it was on a different frame.

My buddy is a realtor and he has the Meta RayBans. He uses the photochromatic lenses because he is going from in the car to outside to back inside and then out again when he's showing a home.. I like the Ruby outdoor lenses but i would want the option to go inside and outside without having to swap lenses. If they were cutting edge an iridium photochromatic would be epic.

Got my prorder email at 10:30. I put them in my cart and they are not sold out, I removed them. Yes i would like to have them but 500 is just to steep

Wondering if the new Metas is worth the investment. I do see they are 24k gold not the Rubys which i liked better actually. man 539 bucks
