1990, I'm about to take the new bike for its first ride.
I neglected to scrape the paint off the rear dropouts when assembling, so the rear wheel popped out on a long downhill (bending the rear axle and necessitating a long walk home).

Black Oakley Blades with red (maybe orange?) iridium lens. I still have the lens and wore it today in another Blade frame I still have. I like to get my money's worth

Wow. Only a one or two photos older than this one...

My avatar pic is me, in June 1991, graduating high school, wearing Oakley Mumbos, black frame, blue iridium lenses. Looks like black nose and grey arm rubbers. Just about recreated them. So close....
