Prescription X-Metal

So I gotta ask. How can you (and others) do it?

I have heard that general places like LensCrafters can’t do it cause the lenses are so curved.. but it’s like.. how can one person do it but chain companies employees can’t? IDK but the custom work you and others do here is great 🙏🏻
It's the fact I've been an optician since 2001. And so I learned how to do this year's ago and face the right equipment, tools, and experience. You can't teach that now as nothing today is like xmetal

It should be doable, with the only deterrent from it being filled, coming from a "prism" requirement in your prescription. The prism prevents one eye from overpowering the other, resulting in a crossed eye situation. Not good for myself while driving at night. Because of the prism, the eyewear company of your choice might be reluctant to fill the frame if the frame has a pronounced "wrap."

Has anyone tried or does anyone have an X-Metal frame they turned into prescription eyeglasses? I feel like it would look best with X-Squared or Mars, I would have to go with Mars since my current eyeglasses are round.. if you have done that I want to see some pics
About 20 years ago I had a pair of XX X-Metal with an Oakley prescription black iridium polarized lens. It was done very easily by Oakley directly. Unfortunately about 15 years ago they were stolen and I have been looking to replace them for a very long time. From my understanding Oakley will not do prescription X Metals anymore so you would have to settle for a non Oakley prescription lens in them. Hope that helps! If anyone is interested in selling their XX X-Metal please let me know!
