Definitely without. All jokes aside. I think feet are gross all around. No matter who's. Plasma R1s though. Works of art.
My first pair of X Metals, which 'sang' to me, with their futuristic aesthetics and materials: they were so expensive back in 2000. But worth every penny, for kudos.

Thats amazing Mark. Most of the Collectors here i can guarantee didn't have a romeo as a first pair. Mine certainly wasn't. I hope you still have it too. That would be even better.

Free bumps for the seller of this wicked plasma R1..

Huh…now that I drift down memory lane my first pair of X-Metals were R1s. Saw MI:2, went and bought em at the Tyson’s Corner Oakley Store, and flew the next day to Moscow to start a new assignment at the U.S. Embassy. Those were the days my friends!

They are currently smoked bronze but will migrate back to X-Metal finish at some point.

Oh…and BUMP! 😉

I was more meaning first oakleys as a teenager ot something. Xmetals for me had to wait for disposable income. My first Xmetal was an R1 as well. I suppose I misread Marks post.

Heh…or I misread it! I think my actual first Oakley was a few years earlier…but don’t recall. Might have been those gunmetal gray jobbies with flames?

Oh…was even earlier. I had a pair of Wires or similar as prescription glasses in like 89-92 timeframe.

Bump Bump ☕😏

my first xmetals were a plasma/fire juliet. Although i wanted an xmetal/ruby but somehow they cost more at the mall. I was 16 so i didn't really have $$$. I'm 39 now and i still don't have $$$ 🤣

Did you bring lots of Levi’s with you? I know the Russians were crazy about them back in the day☺️ But that might have been 12 years earlier.

You ain’t wrong! But yeah if memory serves that was a few years earlier. I was there 2000-2002 and general goods seemed readily available…at a price.

I was in Turkey 89-91 and it was that way for sure there and in Eastern Europe at the time. American goods especially jeans, cigarettes, or whiskey were allegedly like gold. Bear in mind I was a card carrying American Diplomat. Black market dealings would have cost me my career 👮‍♂️👎
