They are. They require a lot of time and attention though. Insanely bright breed, but All of that intelligence and energy can be a nightmare if not properly channeled. Too many Aussie owners get them purely for their appearance.

That's what I am told. I have family members who have Australian Shepherds and they speak highly of the breed.

That makes sense! I saw GSD in the nose but the ears looked different, so I can see the Malamute there. That's an awesome crossbreed.
