So, I’m looking to recreate the early red FMJ finish on o matter frames!

So I’m super excited to see this cured and out in the sunlight! I also did a trial run of electric blue that I’d been wanting to recreate for some time now too.
I’m actually going to wait a few days before putting any lenses in them or anything!

Honestly the rust oleum in red would have probably worked better and been a one layer application, but wasn’t in stock the night I ordered them. The blue chrome takes 2 coats to cover anyway so same waiting and effort, just that the duplicator is very shiny.

I do more matte than shiny…but really appreciate seeing the process…and can see myself doing shiny icons to offset a matte finish. I’ve used Tamiya Translucent Red…wonder how it compares to Duplicate-Color Red Anodised
