So, I'm seeing this Facebook ad for clearly fake Oakley watches, and I'm trying to figure out just HOW is that possbile?

I mean they were not so expensive that making fakes would be a logical alternative, givin just how besoke the designs were. I would expect someone had to put effort into making fake bezzel, faces etc. Can someone help me understand the motivation (This is pure curiosity) Here's a picture from what I saw for reference

Well now that Oakley doesn’t sell watches, people like this pos steal the design and try’s to profit off it, that’s the reason for fakes . Also the patents are most likely gone on them. Just wish they would stop using Oakley when they are trying to sell them.

I’ve seen a bunch of these and I HATE when people on secondhand sites will try to sell these off as “refurbished” or brand new and you can tell by most of them, given the fakes come with some sort of black cylinder case and the watch itself being off… these fakes do sell a bunch on Etsy and those kinds of sites for people who aren’t fortunate enough/ don’t want to spend that kind of money on a watch.
