Starting my watch collection!

I knew about Oakley watches as I had a transfer case years ago and sold it. Not realising what a mistake I made.

So this week brought these additions which I absolutely love

I’m not a fan of bracelet styles but the blade is something else. Very pleased with both of them.

I am hoping to add these to my collection

Blade chrome with sapphire blue face
Blue faced double tab with rubber strap
Kill switch hopefully with a few bezels
White faced transfer case
Judge possibly stealth

I know this all might take some time as they are hard to find ,but my plan is to build my collection along side some other watch styles/brands which I’ll eventually pass down to my son. No idea if they’ll be worth anything when he’s older but the sentiment value of collecting something I love, i hope is worth more than money!

Thanks! I really can’t believe they discontinued all of these, a few of my friends who are into watches have all said they don’t understand why either as they are stunning.

Here’s hoping I can add to the collection

Nice watches . I think the sentimental value to your Son will always outweigh any monetary value . Hopefully so anyway . If not then there’s a few people on here ready to be your son ( or daughter ) if your bequeathing Oakley watches .

Haha I’m sure there is

I’ll happily be someone’s son or daughter for the ones I’m after too

Be careful going down this rabbit hole. My wallet was happy that Oakley has discontinued all watches but when I dipped my toes outside the realm of Oakley, I just bought myself a one way ticket to the poor house.

Started with just 4 in October 2023 while vacationing in Tokyo.

And just 8 months later, my non Oakley collection is about to surpass my Oakley watches which took my almost 10 years to build.

Wow! Amazing but my bank won’t manage that 😅😅 I dread to think the value of that probably a small flat/apartment 😅

I’m not a big fan of Rolex I think I’d probably have a pan at most but I’m a fan of big watch faces mainly.

I’m fairly confident that finding the Oakley ones I want will be a challenge both locating and financially 😅 but I suppose it’s where it makes it a bit fun researching and locating the right one.

10 is my limit!………. 🙄🙄🙄

So you say... good luck keeping that limit. You will maybe end up with 20+ lol

Oakley alone already has close to 40 models if you just go by one colorway and treat the 6 hand and 3 hand variants, automatic and quartz movement of the same design as separate models.

I tried to get just one of each during my 10+ years hunting and ended up with 37.

The transfer case alone has I think 4 different colorways. The Judge has a Judge II and Judge II dual time sub variants which are all pretty cool. And you mentioned liking watches with large cases 42mm and up so now you will be looking for the Double Taps, Hollow Points and Time Tank / Minute Machine, Gear boxes that has so many colorways.

The journey will be fun though. Just prepare to be broke.
