Valve 1.0 fake? Or possible prototype?

Aloha OF brethren. I just acquired a Valve 1.0 that I almost thought was fake. But I'm having doubts it's a fake, because this would be one of the best fakes I would ever have seen. Anyways, take a look at this Valve and tell me what you think.

The engraving for "POLARIZED" looks very off to me. The spacing between the L and A is too close and the lack of "OAKLEY" on the bridge stands out as suspect. This looks similar to the fakes sold on Carousell for roughly $63 (HK $500).

I pointed out that there are differences in the text. And I also pointed out that there are similarities to a real Valve that are too close to ignore. Such as the casting marks. If you have pictures of a fake Valve I would love to see it.

Reminds me of all the fake splices that are listed on EBay. Looks like the same colors. Seeing a fake Valve 1.0 is a first. Sucks to see.

As I said in PM to @undefined, I guess if it exists someone will make a copy and try and sell it.

I lived all over the world for many, Many years and heaven knows I’ve seen plenty of Foakleys. These are the first Valve 1.0s. Sad indeed…buyer beware.

Looks like a Platinum with missing bridge text and the wrong lenses.
