What are some obvious signs a pair of Eye Jackets are fake?

Hey everyone,

I am looking at purchasing my first pair of eye jackets and I have been looking around on eBay and they all look so similar to me and would like to know some easy to spot things that give away it being fake to save myself a headache

If it says "Foakley". Seriously, though I say the icon color is important. and whether or not it is chromed according to the model #

Rule Number 1, if the nose-bridge text is correct, 99.9999999999999999999999% they're genuine, If the nose-bridge text has rubbed off(which does happen with persistent use), check the build quality and fit. If it's shonky, it's probably a 'donkey'.

I've also been looking on eBay and was fortunate enough to realize a few fakes. First, I'd say consider the price. Anything under $300 might be a little fishy. Second, go find a real pair of Eye Jackets on eBay / the internet. What you'll realize is the embossed writing on the arms that say "MADE IN U.S.A" are very short vertical wise, but long horizontal wise (aka stretched out). Another thing about the "MADE IN U.S.A" is the the font is very blocky but the outlines are still very detailed. Here is an example on eBay of a real pair. Hope this helps. Always look at the seller as well. If it's a new seller with little or no feedback, beware. If it's a seller with a good percentage of bad feedback, beware. Right now, anyone from Ukraine, beware.

That’s a bad example of a real pair. Kyle1976 does not sell real pairs 🤣 that ebay is a scam. Are you Kyle1976’s new account?

These threads are great for helping me find out if I’m buying fake oakleys.
I like eBay but will have to do more research before I buy any
