What do you guys think about M experiment?

Did a little comparison for @BoostBear a while back with an NRJ.
It’s got a few different ones I see in there.

Arms - long like NSJ2/Valve/Scar
Orbital - NRJ and Radar Lock.
Lenses assess on both area almost Exact of the NRJ.

SINCE he’s like I am I wanna try it on. @BoostBear can say if my comparisons are good.

Both fit great. Taken both for test ride on the bike at 90 they don’t move. As good as NRJ in my opinion.

I'd like to get excited about them, but there's only been two styles (or 2 variations of the same basic style) for a long time now. And personally neither are all that exciting....only so much you can do with sunnies i guess but I'd hoped for a new model or two in the last year

I’ve worn only Oakley’s for 35 years. I waited to long to Join the Movement. I should’ve known with the Mad Scientist behind the wheel that it would be Really Good.

One Oct 9. My Statement was: Hold my Beer Watch this. Jumping in Head first. Since then as of today with my newest Jigawatt Black Cerakote LE.
I’M at 14 pairs of Jigawatt’s and Gigawatt’s DVD 9 extra sets of lenses. The lenses are like the old Iridium’s. Just Amazing to look thru.

There are most here knowing way more than I. But for my previous statement. You can Judge my opinion of M-Experiment from someone that Never wore anything else for 35 years. These are Incredibly designed and Built. Thanx to @jamin jannard. Best thing in years.

Their customer service is top notch. They have only been selling product for 18 months now, so can't really see why people complain about model selection. They stated in the beginning they are in it to have fun, not take on the sunglasses world again. Their gigawatt and jigawatt models are cerakoted which is way above painting for durability and their price point versus Oakley is amazing. As mentioned, their lenses are great and for under $200 it's worth trying a pair if any of their styles appeal to you.

Forgot to mention no Prism BS on every lens. Just like the old Iridium’s.

He sold the company due to Lux has a monopoly in over seas sun glasses, which blocked Oakley from selling over seas. So the only thing he could do is sell the company to lux to keep the brand going, or get shut out. Ii was around 2008 I believe, I could be wrong on the date.

Lenses are fantastic.

No reason not to buy a pair.

He cashed out at the tune of 2.1 Billion $ I wouldn't even think twice about a payout like that!

I enjoy their lenses a lot, it's nice to have crisp optics w/o having to deal with the prizm filters Oakley applies to everything now. The bags they provide with the shades is super nice quality to, thick and soft material. Also the 3 different adjustable position for the nose pad width on the sports frames is super cool idea imo. I look forward to what else they bring in the future.


The company only recently opened it's doors to us... I think you need to give em some time. You can't expect them to pop out a new model every year like Lux can.

The DNA from Hans' design sketches from the 2010 era from when the Fast/Flak/HJ2.0 are there in the current Jigawatt & Gigawatt.

The only real thing I love about the current Oakley's is the Prizm lenses! The filters they produce for the numerous lighting conditions are awesome! M Experiment are in a totally different league however with their designs, quality and phenomenonal optics!

I guess I'm just not great with change, and having only the option of prizm lol. I liked the period in late 2015's where you could buy prizm and non-prizm tints from oakley. I guess I just miss having some neutral options, I know they say there are still neutral tints in the prizm spectrum but it doesn't feel that way when I compare em to the old tints.
