The discussion around pricing is always beneficial. I appreciate the OPs effort to illustrate a guide to help newer collectors to determine what they might expect. In time the guide may not be relevant unless it's frequently revisited. It's not nonsense. That's an opinion. Seasoned members are giving opinions about price and everyone is encouraged to join in. If a number of opinions tend to agree that a certain frame lens combo is worth around $500 that's a valid assessment coming from people who should know. If I'm the only one who feels a Medusa is worth $1500-$2000 grand complete I'll accept that my belief may be flawed. If the going rate drops to $1200 I'm comfortable never selling it and I'm still glad I have a wonderful piece. I bought all of my stuff because I like it. No other reason. Practically speaking many Oakley frames cost pennies to produce. That doesn't mean we can't have an intelligent discussion around some sought after shades that people find to be extremely unique.I'm not just tired seeing non sense post.
Ooops lowballed 850 it's mine lol.The discussion around pricing is always beneficial. I appreciate the OPs effort to illustrate a guide to help newer collectors to determine what they might expect. You mean the keychain right?Ooops lowballed 850 it's mine lol.
As frank said quack, quack, quack lolYou mean the keychain right?

If every price on this list was refutable I'd say you would have a valid point. The community at large really determines price. It's too complex for just one person to determine but if every frame combo listed were to be put into a vote I believe the percentage of forum members would eventually settle on an average number. That's the way things work. If most people surveyed buy white cars the factory makes more white than red. I paid a lot for a keychain. Someone got it for $2.00 Neither is the average so if multiple members said you could expect to pay $50 in today's market they would not be crazy. No ones buying them for $2.00 anymore.Yup. It's a bad idea. He was told it was a bad idea. Did it anyway. Now look at this ****show
People do take everything so literally. It says a rough guide to x metal pricing. That's all. Rough guide. Nothing is written in stone and just because one person said so doesn't mean everyone needs to subscribe to this way of thinking. If anyone references the thread when countering a seller or making an offer the response can and should be Though it is one persons valuation it is not necessarily the spokesperson for the group. I've watched a lot of items over the years. I've come to terms in my head about the average certain things have sold for. A nice Juliet loose frame with lenses that may need replacing isn't out of the grasp of most buyers for $250-$300 especially if you want t customize them to your taste. I don't expect to see those same frames for $50.00 It just doesn't happen and if it does it's a rarity.Seriously though if you're collecting for fun this list should not bother you, NOW if you're collecting to flip flop this should bother you especially when you acquired that piece during the bubble years.
I agree. Well said.I did not read all the comments, but let me say this; I don't look forward to selling something on the forum, only to have some idiot pointing me to this stupid list to criticize my pricing.
There shouldn't be a list. I will price my stuff however I like. I will also buy stuff for whatever price I think is fair.
I feel a few members on this forum have an agenda to drive prices down, low balling, making fun of sellers and their items, giving ridiculous valuations, etc. This list will only make it worse. Much worse. All you are doing is driving the traffic to ebay, where sellers can price their items as they like and sell stuff without being harassed.
Also, prices are not static, they fluctuate with the seasons and availability.
Even if the op had good intentions, I don't think this list is needed.
