All Star season, time to see my money disappear. So far 3 pickups this month:

Kobe 9 Protro "Masterpiece"

I've only owned EXT pairs of the Kobe 9, and those go pretty different than the standard build meant for performance. I went half size up knowing how the drop-in setups tend to feel for me, and it makes for a departure from the closer-fitting Kobe 4 and 5 are, but it generally feels like correct sizing. However, between that aspect, and the fast degradation of traction pattern during intended use, I can't say I really want a collection of these.

Nike Ja 2 Black Label

I don't buy shoes for resale, but the conditions of this pickup were basically a prospective one to see how this "Black Label" series goes. It's a little weird that something with supposedly just 1,999 units was sitting online and on shelves. The shoe itself is actually pretty nice. I mean I don't care for the Swarovski crystals, but the suede elevates it from being the overly-plain "budget shoe with a name on it" status.

Air Jordan 1 Retro "Black Toe Reimagined"

I don't know if this will sit long enough to see a discount, but this is a prime time to grab a pair like this — when it's relatively not exclusive/limited. Really who knows if OG colorways in the future will always be like this and the BC3. I know the Black Metallic 5's moved.

I love the black toe AJ1’s. Got myself a pair of those. Very nice. Don’t know much about those others you are showing. But nice.

Only way I'd try the Adidas Crazy 1/The Kobe was if it was dirt cheap, and that finally happened.
Wish I had something good to say but really, these really spelled out why Kobe left the brand — if just looking at them was not enough.

Nike Air Diamond Turf

Little hard to get hands on atm, but I was able to hit and it's a rare time I again reach for a non-basketball pair. I've really enjoyed my first wear. While the later DT Max '96 had a more immersive feel that seemed to capture feel of the cleated counterpart, these feel like just sneakers to me — in a good way. Like it's kid me in the 90's and I feel all cool wearing Nike's in general.

Lmao I am a goofy.this is what happens when you sleep on every other 12 release and regret it.

To the touch it's pretty nice actually. Hate paying retail but the pressure is there to wear them for my worthwhile. I got the last one in my size at SP.

A little crazy that now I reminisce on past life that isn't my childhood. Fast forward almost 9 years later and I got the pair I missed.

Jordan 12 Black/Red

Now I have these. I put them on when I got to the car, and I kinda had to process that. It wasn't a grail but I had no idea back then whether if or when I could check it off the bucket list, and how many pickups would happen in the time between.

Jordan 12 Black/Red

Nice. I overpaid for a pair off goat the day before release when I saw there were only 1200 something size 13's made, then I got worried the Goat pair seller would back out because people had stories that people back out if the shoe shoots up in value after release. so I tried on a few raffles to see if I could get a pair for retail. Struck out on raffles, but ended up getting a pair on Nike.com. That pair should be here tomorrow. not sure if I'm going to sell the Goat pair if it ever shows up or what I'm going to do. It's status hasn't changed so honestly I just hope I get refunded for that pair...

Man I love these. They are even better in hand for sure. I've only had 12's in a low before this (playoff 12 lows) and they just don't look right in a low in my opinion.

You know what's funny @Ventruck. I clicked on that old post of yours that you quoted from 2016 and I was like 2 posts below saying I liked your pickup and i almost went for those because I don't have any 12's. Nice to see both finally getting one of the best colorways 9 years later. lol.

Yeah man it's crazy. I remember when we were talking about D.Rose and you were at the Jordan 29 Low pick up.

I got lucky. Didn’t win the flu’s on release but footlocker dropped them a couple days ago but I was in that virtual line on there website and by the time it was my turn 8’s and lower and 16. So no luck for my 13’s. But I went to mall Tuesday and at foot locker they had a pair of 13’s that they were holding for someone that didn’t come get them and I snagged them up. Winner winner chicken dinner. Sweet !!!
