Custom Carbon Fibre Juliets - my homage to this wonderful design

As I am totally blown away by the comments to the original photos I put up, I thought some of you might also like to see some ideas I have on the case designs.

These are just prototypes, testing whether I could get the flow of the carbon fibre etc and get the shapes right or not, so quality wise, they are not great, but as I have proved to myself that I can do things like this, the next few will be better quality.

These are all polished Carbon Fibre, although I have also been trialling matt finish on some other things I have been working on, so the end idea could be either I suppose

Behold the Nuke .... the testing here was whether or not I could get a good enough blend of two different carbon fibres in tight spaces. The inner sections are a carbon fibre/red aramid fibre plain weave blend, whereas the outer carbon fibre is plain weave. The shape initially started out as a 3D printed shell to get the right structure to work on.

For size comparison, the genuine Oakley case is a Half Jacket-Flak case. Yes, the Nuke is quite big, although I could make it smaller, but I have to make the inside large enough to cope with the shape of the Juliets.

I also love my E-Wire aluminium vault, I love the size and the feel of it, but thought, 'could I do something similar in Carbon Fibre'?

So we have the, Torpedo ..... sitting next to the 'porpoise' as it is now known :D

Again, for size, here's the torpedo next to a small aluminium vault (for my E-Wire 1.0s)

These are only prototypes, but work nicely etc, but I need to up the quality before I'm happy with them !

Hi All, thank you so much for all the feedback on my work, I am very grateful :)

I will try to keep watching the forum, but I will be away for a week now. I have some plans and ideas on new stuff too, which some of you might like, so I will post up as things become clear.

I think a patent will expire after 20 years? so wait for it.

and if you just sell to people on here *not over 1000 frames sold I guess, it should be alright, just put another abbreviation for example, i-Juliet, i-Romeo... to avoid apparent same name. or other name you like. (currently the copy-cat X-Metal selling in Japan put number after name, like Juliet0001 something like that)

and the lawyers issue? I think Lux would start with their marketing staff (they don't want to spend money on lawyers right away) to ask you to stop, or pay 200 USD per piece sold to them if you keep selling or STOP.

just my opinion.

Man these are boss, so much skill and craftsmanship. I'm in for a nuke with blue aramid and a juliet. So awesome man!
