Custom Carbon Fibre Juliets - my homage to this wonderful design

Or just put this notice on your listing. In fact Oakley contacted us long time ago to put it on all our listings to avoid trouble, and we did. :taunt:

Amazing job. We’d seen a carbon Juliet before but it only really approximated the real thing, yours is much closer. I’d definitely consider buying one!

Call tthem what you like other than using a registered name: with such expert use of carbon fibre, I don't know about you guys but I'd love to own an exquisite pair such as these, whatever they were called.

P.S. but I would have to make those pins black not red..........

Amazing pieces of work! I have two remarks/questions:
  • I think Hybrid models would be nice too. Original orbitals combined with carbon stems and carbon nose piece. Or the other way round. And they could still be considered "real Oakley's", right? ;-)
  • You're using weave for the top layer. Even this is real carbon and not just a print, it looks quite flashy. Somewhat more subdued would make it look a bit more classy. Have you tried with matte transparent finish, or even UD? I think UD with matte transparent finish would be the bomb. :cool-20::cool-20::cool-20::cool-20:

@delarscuevas - yes, the whole thing is made from different carbon fibre weaves (braided and plain) and there is other carbon fibre within where the extra strength is required. In terms of the 'flashy' bit, that's probably because of the lacquering I used to finish them and the flash photography or sunlight, in normal light, they are not so 'blingy'.

I have used a matting technique on other stuff I make which works quite well, so I could do it on these too, I will have a go and see how they come out :D

This is my bike. IT has a raw looking matte UD finish which I really like. You can see it in the second picture. Just for fun: would a finish like that be possible?
