Cutting lenses by hand (a guide)

I use blue 3m tape and the pink delicate surface tape. Be VERY weary of cutting ice and positive red, the iridium is delicate
can I use Scotch 3M blue brand instead of 3M? as hard to find this brand in AU? not sure it's avail here, lolz
What brand is this pink delicate surface tape do you used?

I can use this right?

This is what I use (#2080). It sticks a bit better. However, couple things to keep in mind…

Older ice, fire, +red, and violet lenses are very difficult to cut as the tape (even frog tape) will peel the iridium right off. Newer lenses are a bit better but you need to hold your breath peeing the tape when your done.

Prizm lenses must have a hydrophobic or similar coating on them as any tape has a hard time sticking. But 2080 is the best I’ve found.

That tower in the back 😍

This is an old juliet fire lens that i'm trying to custom cut for a penny. I guess i'll be expecting the iridium to come off as i peel off the adhesive lol but it's okay. It's a beater lens anyway

The straightlink fire lenses are fine for some reason but seems anything older than that and it has a good chance of peeling.
