This keeps coming up so Im putting it here... if you have problems getting the code to work... try one of two things... if you copy and paste it then put the cursor in front of the code and back space once. Something about the copy/paste adds that space and it has to be removed OR type it in manually and be sure its exact.

So I have had many emails about discount codes since I have figured out the ways of obtaining them. Here is the super complex secret of how to do it.

NOTE: I DO EVERYTHING BY EMAIL. USING CHAT OR CALLING IN YEILDS LESSER RESULTS.

1st way to get a code is of course when Oakley eff's up your order or cancels your order or whatever crazy dumb thing they come up with to ruin the fun. Send in a complaint and please, do not lie about it, that just isn't cool. You will most certainly get a code the very next day ranging from 15% - 40%. If you get a 15% write back tell them you feel at least a 30% is worthy the situation and you are not satisfied with the 15%. You will then have a 15% and a 30%.

2nd way to get a code is super complex. Just ask for one. Write in a nice letter telling them how awesome you think a certain model is and if you could afford it you would have it already. Then ask as nicely as you would a lady at the candy store for a sucker if they will give you a code so you can afford it. NOTE: If it is a regular item not limited or exclusive then ask for 40% NOTE 2: If it is a limited item or exclusive ask for a 30%. I personally keep one of each on hand and when I use one I write in to get another. This way I am not caught off guard when something releases and it takes 24 hours to get a code. DO NOT LIE OR MAKE UP SOME DRAMATIC SOB STORY JUST BE SINCERE AND ASK!!!

3rd way to get a code or replacement or free sunglasses. (AGAIN LETS BE HONEST HERE AND NOT MAKE UP STUFF TO SCAM OAKLEY, ITS NOT WORTH IT TO BE A THIEF.) If there is a defect on the glasses write in and show pictures. Let them know how disappointed you are without rudeness or being vulgar. If it was a limited sold out item really tell them how heartbroken you are and the fact you can not get another means you are stuck with it because its better than nothing but you are not a bit happy. I have found several responses for this scenario usually being like this...
- damaged boxing, missing box, = 30% code
-Missing contents, bag = 30 - 40%
- damaged or defective frame in any way, even the smallest scratch = Free replacement and you keep the pair or Refund of 50% - 100% and you keep the pair. I have had a 100% refund plus 30% code given before and the secret is I am nice.

How to apply the code:
#1 PM I get is "I have the code but it won't work"
Reason #1 is 40% codes only work on regular sku items and 30% codes also work on limited in most cases, not all.
Reason #2 your code won't work. When you copy and past it into the box the copy picks up a space between the code and the left end of the box. As long as that space is there the black submit box will stay greyed out. Just simply put your cursor in front of the first letter and backspace it and the black box turn solid black and allow you submit it.

That is the beauty of the system... they don't evidently keep track of anything and the left foot doesnt know what the right foot is doing ever so as of today No I have not been rejected because I asked in the past and I have asked a couple of times in a week long period. I brought back a couple of old emails from the dead to spread it out though so I don't now use an account more than once every couple months.

In saying this, yes email is the best way to resolve pretty much most outcomes, and you are correct be nice and civil about whatever the issue maybe and you will find most things will be resolved.

When the Subzero Stpl bundle came out I bought 2 pairs, received both and found that both of the Subzeros did not have the Pigeon logo etched onto the lens, couple of emails back and forth and approx 2 weeks later I had 2 new lenses shipped and delivered with the logo etched at no charge, now I have 2 spare Subzero lenses to do with what I like.

No I didn't get a promo or discount code, just super stoked to get the issue rectified all the way from Italy.

So yes it does pay to be nice and honest via email.
