Discount Codes, ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!!!

That's weird. I sent a letter asking for discount codes because it helps determine whether I buy anything or not. Especially when there's no sales happening. I was then sent a 30% off code. I've done that a couple of times with success. Perhaps you're being too specific in saying exactly what you intend to buy.

I was specific…basically I asked if there was a military discount and said I was interested in the METAs.

They came back with the no discounts on METAs at this time comment. After this sale passes I’ll try it again as you mentioned.

I will buy the brown and DWP METAs and get the reader lenses after the fact. Just was hoping for a code 😏. That and I’m traveling so did not want em sitting on my front porch. No Oakley store anywhere near the Black Hills or back at home base for that matter or I’d snag em in store. I have gotten a military discount in stores before. Shame the METAs are not on Oakley SI 😆

Looks like just asking no longer works...

I think there is a good chance this is temporary, although even a "temporary" suspension could last a few years depending on the reason behind the change. Cutting back on discretionary discounts is one of the easiest ways for corporate executives to juice their metrics ahead of earnings reports, shareholder calls, etc. September just happens to be the last month of Quarter 3 in the most common fiscal calendar, so it might only last another couple of weeks if we're *really* lucky. Unfortunately, I think the more likely motivation is the shaky economic environment with disruption from tariffs and the looming spectre of stagflation closing in.

It also occurs to me that this particular rep might have given bad information or didn't want to properly address the request for some reason (laziness, end of shift, existential angst?). A different rep might yield better results. I think it's worth another few attempts to test whether this is in fact the new policy or just an anomaly.

I know its not as good as the 30% plus codes but it’s better than nothing. If you are a AAA member you can get unlimited 15% codes at there discount page. Just look up Oakley and press “Get code”. You can also keep pressing “Get code” and they will keep generating new ones for you. They are good on most things except limited items. It works on the new Tailend and you can get about $60 off of it of you have no other options.
