Encoder lens change

Is there any easy way to replace the bands of the encoders? I have tried to do it several times, but unable to do it and my fingernails have come off. I have seen several customs on the internet, still have no idea how do they do it. If anyone has ever successfully replaced the bands, please share how you did it.

From a quick search on the forum, it seems Oakley doesn't offer replaces lenses for the model, so I suspect the removing of the band part of the arm from the lens might not actually be easy... I'd guess the "customs" you see are from people ordering them through OCP rather than pulling the part off themselves?

Perhaps that's a prototype?

You can search on the forum here, maybe you'll find someone that successfully removed a lens from some.

The arms can be detached, but it would feel like your about to break them doing so, similar to the subzeros, I have seen a post where the space encoders frames had been swapped for a different colour earstems.

This is the standard encoder frame removal, but I know Taj had a picture of swapped arms on the space encoders to a different colour.

You can check out this listing, its a pair w/o the bands. Maybe you could reverse engineer how to remove them seeing where the mounting points are, then on a pair you want to swap a pair with?
