Eye Jacket 30th anniversary 2024

What will Oakley do for the 30th anniversary of the Eye Jacket?

  • Do absolutely nothing, it would go against Oakleys creedo of dull and boring.

  • Have a special edition colorway of the Redux.

  • Make another super limited edition Eye Jacket 1 that sells quickly and we are done with it.

  • Go all out and make Oakley fans happy and produce a couple colorways and enough stock to last a bit

2024 will be the Eye Jackets 30th anniversary. Will Oakley take this opportunity to do anything? They got a quick look at how popular it was after selling out of the Satisfy limited edition model. They already have the molds and its cheap to make.

Did anything happen for the Mars anniversary? There's already a MUZM Eye Jacket.
Mars came out in 1998, so this year is the 25th anniversary. That’s probably why they are doing the $2300 Mars Jordan.

The eye jacket is much cheaper to make though. Ideally, I’d love a new Eye Jacket 1 colorway each month for the whole year of 2024. Make 5000 each of them to start, if they sell out fast then up the next month an additional 1000.

I guess the MUZM pair was a one-off. To go totally backwards would mean they know they suck.
The Moon came out in 1998 also. Guess we won’t see one of those anytime soon.
It’s because the Moon wasn’t as popular as other models. But they should consider one if they continue a MUZM series.

The design itself isn’t to thin right? It was just because of the inferior brittle plastic that made it break? The arm and orbital thickness looks about the same as an eye jacket.
There’s always somebody posting how their old O-matter pair cracked while attempting a lens change.
