Glasses other than oakley?

Porsche Design P8460. Acquired from Poshmark for just $40 due to a slightly cracked lens. I can't find much about the model online beyond the fact that it exists and appears to be discontinued. No idea if these are legit or knockoffs, I know nothing about authenticating Porsche Design except the standard things that apply to all models...they seem to have all the right markings, and the model doesn't seem to have been very popular, so perhaps they are genuine. I think they look good in any case!

Those are sick. Just by judging the nose pieces (first photo), I’d say they’re real. They look beautifully engineered all around.

Thanks! That is good to know about the nose pieces. The black nosepads are certainly distinctive, I can imagine them being a point of reference for authentication.

Do you guys know anything about the Sama brand and/or "Loree Rodkin, Eye Couture by Sama"? I ran across a number of them on eBay that I really like aesthetically, but I would like to know more about their quality before buying any. Also not sure if Loree Rodkin by Sama is its own thing like Carerra and "Porsche Design by Carrera" were separate brands at one time. If anyone is familiar with them, let me know!

Here is an example of one I like on eBay. That same seller has a few different ones I like, although they could all be counterfeit for all I know.

Went ahead and bought the above 3 glasses from the "Loree Rodkin by Sama" brand all from 1 seller on eBay. $150 total incl shipping w/ free returns, so I figured it's not a huge risk even if they aren't great in person. The middle style was apparently worn by Will Smith in the movie Focus from 2015...which I have never seen and barely heard of, but in theory, it should at least mean they aren't absolute garbage. The first one could end up looking really cheap in person, not sure how the white wire frame will play.

Anyone have preliminary thoughts on how they look? Will of course share photos of them on when they arrive.

Loree Rodkin by Sama sunglasses from eBay, $50 each (original retail supposedly $200-500). The brand doesn't have a huge online presence, as it is based out of their Ludicrously posh Beverly Hills boutique, so I'm guessing they don't cater to peasants like us who use the internet . The glasses are genuine from what I can tell. There is ots of intricate detailing on 2 of the frames, although this brand is definitely about style first and quality second. Materials and design quality are decent, comparable to other fashion brands from what I understand but well short of the true artisanal eyewear makers. I will use them occasionally, especially the first one, but might give the others as gifts or something.

Model: Hunter
My favorite of the 3 by far. This is the first gradient lens I have ever tried, and I'm not sure why I waited. Love the look and the view through them, will definitely seek out more in the future. Also the only gold frames I have. The skull detail on the temple is interesting, actually did not know what it was from the photos in the listing, so that was a cool surprise. Gives it just a bit of edge teenage me would have loved without being too gaudy for the adult world.

Model: Justin

Solid, but not especially exciting. I like them in theory, but I doubt I will ever reach for them. If you zoom in on the temple, you might be able to make out the details on the metal arm inside the acetate shell. It's a sword with the tip next to the hinge, and the metal along the rest of the arm has a texture forming a helical-ish pattern. Additionally, the orbitals are textured, but it might be too small to see in these shots. Awesome details for sure, but I don't think these have the same presence as the Hunter. Might have really loved it if it had arrived without competition, who knows.

Model: Bora

I like these well enough, but I doubt I will reach for them either. The white frame's contrast makes it look like there is an outline around everything. Probably best used as a complement to specific clothing where the white coordinates with other items or something. The only detailing on these appears to be the rough texture on the entire frame. It's not visible at all even up close, the frame is just a little rough to the touch. No idea whether it ks intentional or just due to the finishing material.

Hope everyone enjoys checking these out. Will post more close-ups if anyone wants a better look at any of the details. Also, on the off chance someone wants to buy these models, I can direct you to the eBay seller I used, they have more of these and quite a few other models from this brand.
