Glasses other than oakley?

I have a few Costa Del Mar pairs. Their glass lenses are far more superior than the polycarbonate.
The thoughts of an airbag going off in my car with glass lenses on my face....sends shivers up my spine.

I know they are better....but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

That is why I would prefer a MauiRose lens in MauiBrilliant (Trivex) instead of the super-thin glass.
All the Maui Jim I have bought recently have the Maui Brilliant lenses (apart from the Ho'okipa Ultra which have the new Maui Ultra lens material)

I mentioned this elsewhere, but it might bear repeating.

If you want a lens that is close to the MauiRose in a MauiBrilliant material, but do not actually have Maui Jim glasses that were originally that lens:

Tajima Direct, or Tajima Urethane, make Urethane lens, the same material as Trivex (MauiBrilliant), in a Rose/Copper tint.
It is $100 for the service however, which is coincidentally what it costs to get a new lens from Maui Jim.

The service is similar, you have to send in your frames to get them installed.

No, I am not affiliated in any way, but I have been doing a lot of research.
It seems that Tajima was started by a former executive of Maui Jim.

If you want Nylon/PolyAmide lens, like what Rēvo use, Sunglass Fix does that, but only in their highest tier offering.

The Clarity of Nylon is better than the typical PolyCarbonate offerings, but the Urethane/Trivex is even better.

My 2nd pair of Maui Jim Ho'okipa Ultra (trivex) are being delivered tomorrow.
I went with black frame and Maui Green Ultra lenses this time (first pair where matte silver frame with Maui Blue Hawai lens)

Can't wait.

Has anyone any advice/experience on/with the Smith Optics Chromapop Opal (blue) Glass lens?

Have come across what looks like a really good deal on a pair of Smith Riptide.

Be careful about Polarization with Smith. They like making ChromaPop lens that are not polarized.
I have surfed & surfed trying to find The One from Smith & finally just wrote them off.

I did buy a set of Parallel 2 from a discount store for only $44, but I got them for their low-light non-polarized lens, called the Ignitor.

It comes with two sets of lenses & they are a quick-change item, due to the design:

My Rēvo loving friend recently bought Costa, only after accidentally getting a non-Polarized Prizm lens at Sunglass Hut. It cost him $150 to fix his mistake.
