Uuum... Mesa Airline Pilots used to get free Bose Headsets for "recruiting". I don't know if that's still a thing? but they used to sell them on eBay for cheap. This is the newest Bose "pro flight"2, ($1200 when it was new) I got for $400
Highly recommended for larger airplanes. Bluetooth and noise canceling works awesome, but I've yet to try it out in a cessna 172
