I have an older Oakley snow google. I don’t know how old. I can’t find a model number. I need a new lens — especially for flat light. Advice?

I have an older Oakley snow google — I don’t know when they were made and I can’t find a model number on the frame. I need a new lens — especially for low / flat light days. How can I be sure a new lens will fit my older Oakley frame?

Welcome, here is a thread dedicated to goggle identification

Those are the original A-Frame 1.0 model with HI Yellow lens. It’s been discontinued for quite some time, thus finding replacement lenses that are new will be difficult. You can still find them on eBay or other 2nd hand websites but you’ll need to be careful verify the condition of them prior to buying.

The main issues regarding used lenses that make em unusable are smudges on the inner lens that impact field of vision and anti fog capabilities of the lens, along with any cracks of the inner lens. A common issue but not detrimental one is if the lens is missing the top ventilation foam if it doesn't have the previously mentioned flaws it could still be usable.

Another idea to consider if just picking up a used complete goggle that has good lens but bad frame. What I mean is the frame’s foam has a tendency to crumble due to heavy use and age, making it brittle and unwearable but still may have good lens in them.

Good luck

This ebay seller has some new old stock lenses you could consider

Here's a HI Persimmon lens where the top vent foam is missing, but might still be usable. Ask them for additional photos
