There was once a man who called the police at night because he heard a burglary in his house.
He called the police, but they said they didn't have enough resources right now, but would come by in half an hour.
1 minute later the man called again and said it was not necessary now, because he had shot the thieves.
5 minutes later, 5 cars and 15 officers arrived.
The police officers saw to their surprise that the thieves had not been shot, and caught them in the middle of the theft.
One officer then said to the man 'I thought you told us you shot them?
