Kaast Lens Pattern.

Hi Team,
I tried on a pair of Kaast Sunglasses in my local Oakley store today.
They are super comfortable and I love the look but noticed some detail / etching on the inside of the lens around the nose piece.

Can anybody advise why this is there?
Does it serve any purpose?
The guys in the store had one idea why it was there.

I ask because my eye catches it when looking through the glasses and it is really irritating.

If it is there for some groundbreaking reason or if it is some unbelievable new tech I could probably learn to live with it if the benefits are worth it.
If it is not there for any of those reasons it is annoying and potentially a deal breaker for me.
It seems weird that a company who is obsessed with clarity in their lenses would put something like this on them for no good reason?

Regards,
~Scott

It hides the distortion created by the bend in the lens at the nose.

The Kato and other PhysioMorphic lenses like the Re:Sub and Encoder models use that big fat nose piece to hide it. In the case of those models, the nose piece can be replaced with a Radar nose piece. When I tried that, the distortion made me feel nauseous. Every time I would look to the side it was like I was looking at a circus mirror.

Some people dont seem to have issues with it, which I would reason is because of face shape and where they land on their nose. You do t have the option on the Kaast with how it's built.

how can the lenses adapt to structures of faces?
are the lenses soft..... or something?
Oh right, i get it.....it's just typical marketing bullshit talk, and a fancy word to go along with it.

PhysioMorphic
: a representation or conceptualization of nonphysical things (as deity or spiritual realities) in terms of physical categories.

😒

Like Thermonuclear protection.

Wow, this is so ****** wack! Who falls for this BS?
And now you are even saying the lenses are distorting the view??
Can't make this up!
