Hey, Oakley can do what ever they please, I guess. Was back in 2008 I believe, so the word I got was a gift for an employee. Maybe someone can pipe in, as more knowledge abounds here than I am privy to.

They do that a lot. I’ve seen a pic of #518 on the o review and maybe #537 as well on eBay. I think they just double dipped and made more even though they originally said they intended to make only 500. Same with the Scelzi R2. When they were first released the word direct from Oakley was 500 made but we see numbers on the boxes higher that.
