MRY Ultra Lenses - DWP lenses for $30

For the catalyst and garage rock that I got them they fitted perfect and the cut and finish of them was excellent. I was about to get a photochromic for the jawbreaker but then the ar coating on one of the ultra pairs showed something like a smudge/bubble and the customer service was really bad so I just got a photo Sutro. I have a few Frogskins and a couple similar pairs that had delaminated and wanted to get some replacements but from my experience and some others I saw I think I ll just let them aside.

How is the cobalt rose compared to the prizm trail? I have the torch but the standard trail felt much poppier every time I have tried it on but don’t won’t to spend the money for a lens that will wear occasionally.

Of course, it’s difficult to compare them directly, since Trail Prizm lenses are crystal clear and are a product of a completely different level. However, Cobalt Rose lenses have a very similar appearance with the same orange tint and they also add a slight pink tone to highlights. In my opinion, they are an acceptable alternative, especially if you don’t want to deal with cutting OEM lenses. It’s just a pity that Cobalt Rose doesn’t have an Ultra version.

I have ordered 2 pair for my Holbrook RX 56mm frames (midnight sun & plasma purple, both Ultra polarised)

Last night I ordered a pair of Emerald Green Ultra Polarised for my Split Shot....I'm hoping they are a more accurate fit, because as per my earlier post......once you "force" a set of MRY Lenses into the frame, the Oakley lenses don't fit back in too well (with Holbrooks anyway)

Also, I don't really believe the Ultra have an AR coating on the inside.....not much of one that I can see anyway.

I still think they are fantastic value.

Prizm Polarized replacement lenses are €126 here in Ireland.

Today got my Cobalt Rose lenses from MRY HD Polarized plus not a top tier.
Order was placed on 25 November so almost the month of waiting (EU).
The lenses are much thinner than OEM and Linegear, with no antiflare layer, and the wrong base curve.
But for the price of 22$ (delivery included) it's ok, because another option was to cut lenses myself from Trail Prizm or Golf Prizm. Overall score I'd say 5,5-6 out of 10. And I will def try their top-tier DWP later.

Any chance you could post a couple of photos of the Cobalt Rose??

Actually its a persimmon + rose tint on all highlights and polarized surfaces. Great for low light and winter days.

Thanks.... I'll order a set for one of my cheap Holbrook RX frames......I can use for early morning/bad weather driving...thanks for making the effort
