Congrats on the case.

What do you mean the door hinge at the bottom is flush with the metal? If it's what I'm thinking then it's normal.
I read a thread today about the double 3.0 having a plastic buffer between the case and the hinge at the bottom of the doors but didn't know if it was the same in the singles, I can't find the post for the life of me now to reference it.

There is a plastic bushing that sits in hole of the case. The hinge pin goes in the bushing lifting the hinge about 1/16" to allow clearance for easy door opening/closing. You may be able to pick one up at a hardware store. When I restored mine I put in bronze oil lite bearings.
