Oakley Tailend: Now in Titanium

i cant find that on linegear
You will have to search Tailend replacement lenses, that would narrow your search as to who offers replacement lenses for these.
But a starting point will be TheSunglassfix, & mrylens, there is a couple you will just have to choose from based on what you read into.

I personally have had good dealings with the first 2 mentioned.

Sorry to slightly derail this thread, walked into OPSM today, gotta get my eyes redone for prescription again🤣 came across the new Ti Tailback 2.0 Rx, gotta say they certainly feel nice and comfortable straight off the bat, damn expensive just for the frame at $550 before adding prescription to that cost. The rework of the frames shape bar the Tail earstems is nice, the nose bridge is quite robust and solid form compared to the original 2015 Tailback Aviator Style Sunglass model, ((no you will not be able to put original Tailback lenses into these, and if you did manage to it would look probably very weird)) still utilises the 2 points of lens securement, no unscrewing of tiny screws for replacing lenses, which is still one of the nicest ideas Oakley came up with for easy installation. did I say light, oh yeah damn light.

Good morning out there !

Some days ago i got a Tailend Ti in Gunmetal/Prizm Ruby Version from a serious onlineshop here in Germany.

Since i´m more familiar with the older (M-Frame)models i was surprised to find a "made in Japan" lettering on the left temple (and also on the sticker at the packagebox).

Furthermore there are no numbers printed on the inner side of the noseclip (as it is when you take a look at the official O-Website to the Tailend Ti with "56 0 19").

Now i wonder if i really got an original beauty or just a good fake.

And on top i found an area at the right side where the frame (pin) fits into the glass which doesn´t look like a quality job of work.

Otherwise i can´t imagine, that the shop will ship fakes.

Maybe somebody here can help me to answer my questiones.

Google tells me, that Oakley Ti-Frames are always produced in Japan.... 🧐

And here are some more pics of the beauty

Are the stem ends meant to turn outwards like that? I don't have a Tailend to check, but i know that a lot of fake X-metal stem ends have that outwards bend.

Yes, made in Japan is correct, 56 O 19 is now on the earstem & not between the nose bridge, also note that the O between the lens size and the nose bridge width is not an O anymore, most metal frames I have purchased in the last few years clearly indicates it as a square O, not all Ti frames are made in Japan, most are made in China. Unsure of your pin question, do you mean the tab that the lens locks into.

@Numpty, yes all the Tail series ran an outward tip on the earstem.
