Oakley Tailend: Now in Titanium

Gotta say, this Ti Tailend is very nice, yes some subtle differences to the Original C5 version from 2015, still runs the spring loaded temple arms to accommodate people with larger temple areas, surprisingly the overall frame size of the Ti, is at least 3mm wider than the original due to the slightly reworked hinge shape.

The only other most noticeable thing for me is even though the lenses of the Ti appear to be the exact same size as the Original, it appears the etching on the Ruby finish gives the lens a slightly elliptical effect ( such as looking at the Muzm Subzero N frames )where as the Standard original lens with etching is more circular in its design ie Mars.

Happy to say side by side comparison with the Fire Iridium definitely shows the true difference of Ruby's colour in tone as photos seen of the Ti Ruby online from others had come across as more of the Fire Iridium which I was hoping was not going to portray.

Apart from the Price tag which was a little steep, overall very happy with my purchase from a company called Subtype here in Aus, was packaged extremely well to prevent any possible courier damage that could have happened and super quick turnaround for despatch.

Now I am gonna have to aim for the Sapphire and the Tungsten 😂😂😂😂

If this makes you feel any better, I have approx 12 pairs of the Muzm Subzero, 3 pairs of the Muzm Subzero N and 8 pairs of the Re-SubZero and I still love all of my original Tailends, plus the new one and still want more 😂😂🤣🤣

Whoa!! LoL that's truly an addiction you have sir LoL... But do you actually wear all of them?? See. I hate when people have things and don't use them. I don't want to have a million pairs of sunglasses and only wear five of them. I have a bunch nothing crazy but just don't want an overkill of sunglasses sitting around.

Some are untouched, but keeping them for a rainy day, not out to make hundreds extra on each but if I can make a little on them one day or break even at least, I would class them as investments for the long term.

can you please tell me any difference of frame?

i have same pewter/fire og tailend but i can bui a TI (satin carbon) for a good price but its not clear and not sure to pull the trigger since i cant see that in person.
Is that Ti, Titanium for real?
isnt og C5 same as xmetal?

do you think theres some upgrade or play in the same ballroom?

There are very subtle differences in the frame shape between the og model and the Ti model.

Yes, the new one is Ti. No, C5 isn't x metal.

The only real upgrade is in cost. They will both fit the same, albeit the Ti will be almost unnoticeably lighter.

thanks but is known if it is "full" titanium or titanium league
theres any info or topic about materials?
i mean isnt x-metal a titanium+alloy league mix?
and what is the mix of C-5?

for example i have badman Ti but have some doubt about it and maybe its only a "name" for that, same as spike titanium
