Right, but I thought the brown set was supposed to be polorized?

The MPH on the stem stands for Mr. Potato Head indicating this pair was made by Oakley with spare parts left over from production runs. If it were an original release pair it would have the corresponding part number on the arm.

That's funny, I was wondering what that meant. Well, not bad for $25 I guess. I'll keep em

Anyone know about these? I saw them on eBay and it says “prototype” and “sample” in descriptionB33EBC39-D255-4842-8B96-8000D0041D92.png

New user here. Just purchased my first set of Oakley Madman’s off eBay and really want to make sure they’re authentic. I had no other options as these are a discontinued model.

I paid $280 shipped. The seller has been mentioned on these forums as reputable and has 7000 positive eBay ratings, no negative.

I bought the Dark Carbon/Ruby model. Packaging was all correct and sealed completely. Spelling good. Serial correct. Polarization confirmed. Everything included and packed as it should’ve been. Everything looked right minus the hinged sections on the sunglasses.

After inspecting the hinged areas where they rub back and forth from opening I noticed that the coating was flaked/rubbed off slightly. I know it’s been sitting since 2015 and probably rubbed during shipping - is this common for the Xmetals to rub that off here? I can’t really get it to flake any further with my nail.

Photos attached. Everything feels solid and looks right minus that. But this is my first pair of Oakleys so I’m unsure. Any help appreciated.
