Over the top - edition?

What makes you say that

Without revealing any internal secrets that fakers can use, the most visible way to tell is the amateurish paint used and the crappy paintjob application. It is like looking at a 4th grader’s attempt at coloring inside the lines. The work done on the horizontal lines that run throughout the glasses is especially atrocious. JJ and team would not have embarrassed themselves by putting out 50 examples as a consumer release.

Got to side with you on that one. Looks like he gave them to his daughter who liked colouring the holes in with her marker pens.
People like to make up stories like this to hopefully increase the value of their items. Most of the time it’s rubbish.

Yeah maybe if there was an article about the event or where they got them but since there’s nothing there either regular price or much below due to them being “colored”

New over the tops …

There are product protos that look like that where stuff is taped-on, colors are off etc. I just saw a pair of experimental goggles (again) that have a power pack and fan built in and you could see the wires, etc. but they are not general release- or have SKUs created.
The military goggles? The fan was to prevent fogging. I don’t know if they have a sku, but they’re legit
