Hey folks. It's not really my place to get too involved in what is happening on this forum, but since I have been pinged by a mod about what went down I think it's a good idea to speak up. My Pop and I started M together for one reason... to have fun together. To have fun making eyewear and anything else that sounds interesting to us. No drama necessary. We still love the O and we visit many of our buddies at headquarters and around the world. We hope everyone continues to buy from the O just as Pop and I do.
We do our best to take care of our friends and customers as much as possible. We have been asked by a few collectors for special services. Some have asked for raw parts to paint for their personal use. At first glance it sounds like no big deal, but it actually can put a strain on operations. We do continue to support your own creativity. If there is ever a misunderstanding feel free to let us know. The individual that kicked this off...there is nothing but positivity on our end. Your work is "wow, super cool" as we last said. At the end of the day this Experiment is meant to be about having fun and making interesting products. I hope the same can be said about how the community interacts with each other and if anyone has any major issues please come to us and we will help work through them.

I agree with @docrusty 100 percent. There’s a bunch of forum members who love what you guys are doing. I personally can’t wait for every drop.

As already pointed out, a few of us love and enjoy what you have been putting out.
There is no pleasing everyone at all times, and the meltdown of certain individuals for not meeting their expectations is certainly not on you.

I 100% agree with this. The personal interactions and engagement with the forum members is huge and would hate to lose that aspect. It just brings excitement to the ME brand. Very cool and hope that can stay.

Very much appreciate your perspective on this. I know I and many others look forward to each drop an to all the news that the brand is doing with collaborations with the ME Team. Excited to be on this ride and to just have fun with it. That's what it should all be about in the end.

Still not sure what has transpired but could guess that either something said or done has triggered an unwanted response for this to come to light and cause some defamation to the parties involved. I hope that us all being adults here can just put the negativity aside and let bygones be bygones, we are all here for a common reason whether it be Oakley related or M Experiment related. Yes we all have certain tastes of what we like/love or would burn with fire if we had the chance but each to their own.

There are quite a few of you guys that I have interacted with and am so impressed with your abilities for true customisations and 1 offs, you guys are seriously talented and as @jamin jannard said for allowing some of the extra privileged to get into the hallowed corridors of the business to obtain items for your own personal projects is nothing to be sneezed at, that is a true blessing to be gifted such an honour compared to the rest of us mere mortals.

@jamin jannard, Rome was definitely not built in a day, if it takes a year for the next big thing to come from the inner sanctum of M-Experiment, then so be it, yes it is gonna suck having to wait for the next true installment to the line up but if that is what it takes so be it, you know who will truely be waiting for it, the people that want to be apart of what M-Experiment is going to become.
I also hope this does not affect future interactions between yourself, your amazing customer service reps and your business structure, you guys have been bending over backwards from day one to rectify issues or concerns, you have given more than I or anyone could certainly have asked for and I, myself personally don't like to ask.

To the other parties involved, I hope you are able to work on an amicable resolution with each other and not lose a friendship that you may have had with each other for quite some time.

Biggest thing about forums, we all want to be keyboards warriors, but sometimes you need to stop and think about how you say things, so much **** gets construed within the words that the true meaning is innocent, but the perceived meaning results in hatred and misconceptions to the harmless banter it was only supposed to be.

Thank you JJ for getting us as Paul Harvey would say... "The rest of the story" I knew you would show up with class and good energy.
My last apology to the forum for where this went and what was done... by all of us. Just know your six is covered if it ever happens to you.
I offer a olive branch of peace to all involved. No rubs, for real. You stood by your friend because you had his six the same as I stood by mine until he could say his piece in the matter and in the end that is cool even if the way things went down was not. Friendship is a hard thing to find anymore and I think we have all shown we stand by ours and have that in common. I do respect your intent even if the actions on both our sides were questionable.
A bigger thanks to one heck of a mod who handled this for days while it transpired @Tomcat14 you too showed real class.
Now on to better things like getting pumped up for the next new thing coming!
