Suggestions on wrap around polarized Oakley sunglasses

If you’re looking for a current model so you have more options for lenses and replacement parts, either a flak 2.0 or half jacket 2.0 would prob be your best bet. They’re also a similar fit to the flak you mentioned.
I have looked at so many different models I have no idea what is current besides cross checking Oakley website and many models are either discontinued or they are out of. Last pair of Oakleys lasted for years so not so much worried about that.

I found an older discontinued new pair on ebay but not sure about buying on ebay and them being real or not, private seller. So I am liking the blades but no luck finding polarized so thinking about going non polarized which makes phone viewing easier, etc, but won't have the glare protection.

And yes, I over analyze everything....:) The troubleshooting background I have and detail orientation is a curse......sometimes.

I Wouod go with the flak draft, radar series ( EV OR LOCK) or even the m2

M2 is my favorite because of lens size and you can put old m frame lenses in them too .

What would you like to spend for new XLJ polar lenses?
As little as possible.......:)

That is a good question. I have not looked recently but I tried to order before Christmas a pair off Amazon and they fit loose but the lens was the wrong shape so I think they were the 2.0 lens or knock offs, so I backed off that. They were $80 non prizm but after reading on here that some say ebay has authentic Oakley deals and I might be able to get frames and polarized/prizm lenses(so many people say prizm is a must) for not much more than Oakley website polarized lenses, I have been trying to navigate that minefield recently.

New development. Thanks to everyone who has comment so far, you have truly made my decision harder....:) My wife does not thank you btw......

I found a pair of M Alpha polarized ( I hope they are authentic) and now I am rethinking my polarized lens requirement on my business/social pair. The black prizm iridium lens sounds amazing I would love to be able to try on and see for myself so it is a leap of faith. I think I would like the EV path coverage but the aero/cyclist look is just too much I am afraid. It really makes things hard not having them in hand to inspect in person.

So the never ending hunt is ongoing. I think I came up with a solution...........................................................................................

I need one pair of everything to be safe......

M Alpha as in M Frame Alpha? Im reasonable certain there are no Oakley authentic polarized lenses for that frame. Big Alpha fan and if they make one I'd be all over it! Having said that, the M Frame Alpha is a GREAT coverage lens for big head guys! I love 'em so much I bought 3 frames and buy lenses every time I come across some. I even had a member here who does custom work, send a couple lenses out to have custom mirrors added. Thats the only real downside to the SI frames, most of them have very limited lens selection. Since the SI exclusive frames are decide for MIL/LEO only, the lenses tend to be no non-sense.

I looked on the Oakley website and never found a "standard issue" polarized M Alpha but this is from ex mil. If they are not polarized I did not pay too much if they are regular, so I took the plunge. If I do not like them he said I could return them. Maybe confusing Prizm with polarized? I questioned them, but I will check them out.

For sure could be confusing Prizm for polarized. There are 8 lenses that I know of, all but 2 are Prizm but none are polarized, as far as I’m aware. But, they’re great frames and I have TR22, TR45, Snow Jade Iridium and the custom mirrored TR45 and TR22 and they are all great. The Snow Jade is a little pink for everyday, but it’s a great lens for its intended use. I had it up in the mountains snowmobiling back in December and it really lets you see all the variances in the snow. I would very much agree with the “Prizm is a must have.” That increase in contrast is amazing in nearly all scenarios!

Update.......... as expected the Alphas are not polarized and they are authentic, with 2 lenses so I have been wanting a pair for a while so..........Back to the polarized search. I really like the coverage of the M Alphas so I will look again at the aero/wonky looking lenses/frames again. Polarized black iridium evo path?

Where do you get your lenses?

The gray that came with mine after using them for the first time are not great on sun glare, (hence the wanting polarized) but the sharp/clear vision of the lens is pretty amazing. I was not looking for mirrored but open to advice opinions at this point.
