Can I ask, is this going to screw up the the average currency rate to what it is sitting around at the moment between Australia and the USA.

Currently $1.00 Aus only equates to $0.64c USA,
Are we going to see a dramatic drop in our crappy buying power, which then makes any purchases from the States even harder to afford?????

Your wallet will be screwed because no company is going to eat extra costs. You saw this during COVID. Every company that’s not a nonprofit wants more money.

If you want old school, your wallet will be screwed because some of that is rare. Rare stuff can command a higher price over modern day rubbish.

The cost of living has forced more people to need money. I have seen people sell rare pieces here they originally never would. These tarriffs are a way to tax everyone without increasing the tax bracket. The difference now is the demand will always be strong for good products for the right price. Also please remember sales are going on like Presidents Day 50% off and those prices are still good even with tarriffs.

President Donald Trump says the 25 percent tariffs against Canada and Mexico are still scheduled to go into effect on April 2.

- In addition, Trump once again stated that he wants Canada to be the 51st state of the United States.

President Donald Trump now warns that the EU will be hit with tariffs "very soon".
- We have made a decision and we will announce it very soon. It will be 25 percent on, among other things, cars, he says.

- I love the countries in Europe, but the EU was founded to screw the USA over.


Trump Says EU Was Formed 'To Screw The United States'

"They've really taken advantage of us," he said of the EU on Wednesday. "They don't accept our cars, they don't accept essentially our farm products. They use all sorts of reasons why not, and we accept everything of them."

He went on to say that he loves the countries of the EU. "I guess I'm from there at some point a long time ago, but indirectly.... well, pretty directly, too I guess – but I love the countries of Europe."

Trump's mother was born in Scotland while his paternal grandfather immigrated to the US from Germany.

He added that he loves "all countries," then immediately said, twice, that the EU was formed to "screw" the US.

When asked what will happen when the EU imposes retaliatory tariffs, he said. "They can't. They can try, but they can't."

"They can do it and they can try but the numbers can never equal ours, because we can go off. We are the pot of gold, we are the one that everybody wants," he said. "They can retaliate, but it cannot be a successful retaliation because we just go cold turkey. We just don't buy anymore. And if that happens, we win."
