Why are there so many Oakley Splice for sale (second hand) and why does nobody want them?

I wast looking for some vintage Oakley models online and I noticed there are a lot of Splice available in reasonable condition. Are they a newer model or why are there so many of them? And why do they not seem particularly popular?

Every time I see your username Malco, I think of the German Maico motorcycles. Especially without my readers on 😂 The Maico is a beast!

Every time I rode it, it always confused me that the kick starter was on the left. What awesome memories. @cabowabocalifornia may remember these

Splices are very popular, as long as they are authentic. Like @Numpty said, most of them are fake. A good way to tell the real ones is the screw heads. The real ones will have torx screws, the fake ones will have Philip screws. They were made in 2002-2005
Thanks for the pointer! Definitely noticed a lot of fake eye jackets around but couldn’t tell with the splice. :)
