A-Wire lens - to wear or replace?

evening all,

As I've mentioned on the other threads, my dad gave me his old pair of A-Wire Thicks. He used to be a hardcore Oakley guy as they were good for his sport, but switched to Ray Bans a few years ago due to all his pairs, old and new, peeling and/or webbing at the lens. This pair is no exception, and while it did bother me at first I honestly don't mind it as these are original lenses and they don't affect my vision wearing them, nor are they visible from the outside.

Originally I was gonna go for some Revant or Fuse replacement lenses but like I said, I don't mind it nor does it compromise my vision (for now...). What do y'all think? Should I replace em or just wear em? Cheers.

Those require a quick makeover, ditch the lenses (fuse do a passable Black Iridium dupe), get new nose pads and refresh the ear socks with a new pair, honour your dads legacy and have a decent wear pair for the foreseeable future.

(That delam would drive me INSANE btw)

Just wear them. You can normally remove the delamination on the inside of the lens with scotch tape. Apply it to the inside of the lens and peel it off.

Replace or clean those gnarly nose pads though.
I second this. If the fronts are good get some good quality clear packing tape and apply to the back of the lenses. Once smoothed out, rip it quickly off the back of the lenses. It might require multiple applications but they will look crystal clear.

I wonder what the fronts look like…..
