Yes nothing stands out. Trouble shooting needs to happen then. Bummer.
Alright so it looks like it’s missing the rod up top, that’s why the logo in the front won’t light up when powered on, other than that I am not seeing any chewed wires/cables, it’s relatively clean up here despite how dirty this case was

He should be able to get this sortedAs an electrician, I would start taking things apart in order to isolate each part. I hope your papa is qualified to do this. I would start with the power cord coming in to make sure you have the proper 120 volts across the wires. Once you determine if the power cord is good, you can then isolate the top from the bottom and check each separately. It's not hard because it's only three wires. Just have to do it in steps.
