Glasses other than oakley?

The RayBan Chromance Blue Mirror has turned out to be a great "bad weather" driving Lens IMHO.

Notice the rain in my windshield......that was earlier today.

I've about 20 pairs in the boot (trunk) of my car......there could be 5 or 6 of them on the passenger seat at any one time.
I alternate between them....trying to settle on a lens..... I always spend a bit of time with Prizm Tungsten Polarised, purely for the fun of the FOV.
But ultimately more often than not, it's the Maui Green Ultra Ho'okipa that end up on my face for the majority of my driving.
It's hard to deny how good they actually are, as a lens/frame combo.

Also...

I will have my first pair of Prizm Shallow Water Polarised on Tuesday.

I suspect they are going to be very similar to the Costa 580P Green lense that I got a few weeks ago.
I also of the opinion that they could be the perfect lense (for my preferences)

From what I can gather.....they seem to be a Prizm Tungsten Polarised but with a bit of a green flash coating.

Opinion would be welcome

Shallow Water is only mildly less Saturated than Tungsten.
I can barely tell them apart, except for the Green mirror on S-W.

I have an old set of S-W that look like the Tungsten in almost every way, no green on those.

So far I have:
Shallow Water - 2
Deep Water - 2
Tungsten - 1

Do you have a SuperThin Glass High-Contrast Bronze?
That is really good for driving, & the Kaenon SR-91 Bronze is a very close second.

I have driven around with a basket of 5 or so shades, to alternate between, just for comparison sake.

My welcome on returning stuff is worn, so I should probably cool it & stop throwing good money after bad.

Finally resolving that M.J. are just more neutral than something like Costa's Green Mirror or Oakley's Shallow Water or Tungsten.

Comparison time again on the back porch, now that the sun is fully up & beaming.

They all seem to fall to Neutral in bright sun, so does the Costa Green Mirror, but Green-Mirror is just not 'this' neutral.

The Sunrise does have more Bronze to it than the HCL Bronze in MauiBrilliant, which is kind of funny or odd.

Avenues to getting the Ultra from another exchange are unlikely, so will likely just suffice with what I have.

Pink lens on Pink frames was overkill in my view, so I did an operation over lunch. Very delicate stuff, like a mechanical surgery:

Did you ever notice there is a GAP between the lens & the frame on these?
When I first got them back together I thought it was an issue, but even my untouched Readers exhibit the same gap.

might not be obvious in the photo, but I swapped Sunrise to a Tortoise frame & Rose to pink frame

I did notice the gap.....
I also noticed the the tolerance on the different screws wasn't uniform.....for a supposedly "premium" brand.

They are great though!
Not the style I would normally choose....but when they are on face.....they just work.

Yes, I had to poke a toothpick into the holes first, to get it aligned, otherwise the screws did not want to go in.
I always screw backwards to start, so I can catch the original threads & not make new ones, which would ream out the hole.

but to do that with a hole that is not aligned means you will just be spinning that damn screw forever & ever

one slip & your screwdriver tip goes into the lens!
so i did it with tissue paper on the lens, which also helps to grip it with confidence that you are not putting a fingernail scratch on there

Also, over a clear basket, in case I drop any screws, & under that a tray on the floor, just in case.

I was just thinking that the Parallel 2, by Smith, feels about the same on my face, about as lightweight & even more Wrap to it.

& you can get lenses for it cheap, & they are incredibly easy to change

There is a Polarized simile of Oakley Trail on its way to me, to fit my Parallel 2.
That could be my latest cloudy-day drivers.

I also bought two of those multi-lens Oakley cases today, because I have more Flak & Half-Jacket lens than I have glasses, so it would be nice to have them conveniently in the same package.

I only mention that, because their lens are also easily changed, but not quite as easily as the Parallel series.

When that Smith lens shows up.......get the photos and opinion posted please

It is actually my first order from PapaViva, who I mentioned briefly in my thread about cheap lenses.

Their website would lead you to believe they are in the Mediterranean, but the delivery is coming on a slow boat from Wuhan, China.

Oakley's Trail lens gets touted as one of their highest contrast-boosting lens, but it is not available in a Polarized version.

as far as I have researched, none of these Oakley Prizm lens come in a Polarized version:
Road
Snow
Field
TR22
Golf
Trail

I have my finger on an order from Vonxyz via Walmart for another Trail Polarized, but I will wait to see how this one is first.
I do believe most of these are coming from the same source, but Vonxyz is faster & cheaper.
