Glasses other than oakley?

back from my driving, & still sticking with my Flying Fisherman glasses, until the TriAcetate lens bubbles up from the heat in my vehicle's cabin console

The rest are not polarized & there can definitely be puddle glare during rain.
even the wet road produces glare

I feel like a numpty now for ordering the Kaenon Arcata-SR with gold mirror, because thus far the three Gold Mirror I have tried were very neutral.

which includes the Serengeti Gold Drivers

Not noticing the photochromic effect with Serengeti, but it is photochromic, confirmed with a UV flashlight indoors.

I know, it will not really activate behind a windscreen, but even in bright sun outside, I see no darkening.

Earlier I wore them indoors, expecting them to lighten, but alas.

I got in Rēvo RE 1167 Jett today, with Drive lens



look at that view, it is really really great!
Compared to my other Drive set, Annika 2

first time I have seen a clamshell style case with a set of such a high base-curve
The Annika 2 will go in there, because they are smaller & a fair bit lighter.

The Clarity is as good as glass, & I am a little surprised that I am enjoying the cooler green so much.
Now I will be that weird dude who has sunglasses on indoors, because of the high VLT it is quite easy to leave them on in a brightly-lit store.

Now all I need is a hat on, a hoodie fully pulled over, & my hands constantly in my pockets, & I will fit right in with the other people who appear to be shoplifting or getting ready to do a DoorDash, the old-fashioned kind.

I got several eyewear retainers there for only 75 cents, most are the typical thinner kind with the same rubber tubing on the ends.

both sets of glasses are in pristine condition, but the M.J. came in a nondescript soft case, instead of M.J. branded

That is fine, I have extra cases, those trif-folds were not my thing, so I bought a couple of the zipper style ones.

If you like the aggressive vivid of Costa Green mirror, you will likely enjoy Kaenon Ultra Coastal Green even more.

Caveat: only the Ultra, as the previous version has a view almost identical to Costa

I suspect that they only make the HT, Maui Green, Maui Blue and Maui Gray in the Ultra material.

I was a little disappointed...... I was hoping to get that frame (it's fantastic looking) with the Ultra material lens.

I would say it's only a matter of time before the do the full colour range in "Maui Ultra"

Can't wait.....because, I'm really impressed with the Maui Green

Yeah I was surprised as well. I am fine with the Brilliant and Pure lenses as an alternative but I naively assumed they would be an Ultra lens if offering them in customization. I was wrong but not dissatisfied in the overall product.

Believe it or not, the field of view is really good! And of course the lenses are Revo who makes the sunshields for NASA. If you want a pair they are almost sold out of this colorway. The other two colorways are already gone. When you go to their website, they do not show up in their line-up. You must use the search bar and type in mark, and you will see them.

That is fine, I have extra cases, those trif-folds were not my thing, so I bought a couple of the zipper style ones.

Kaenon lens are awesome. I have an old spindle s3 with the C12 lens in it, and it’s still one of my favorite pairs of glasses.

They sold here a few years ago and their frames I haven’t been as big of a fan on since then, but their lens are just as great now as ever (and I know taste in frames is suggestive)!

The only one I really want is the half-rim Arcata-SR with Ultra Coastal Green, but I may get a set of full-rim with Ultra Brown.

It seems like what I want is never in stock.

It is too bad they did not create an Ultra Copper, because the C12 in my set of Hard Kore is really great.
