Lopaka's DIY Garage (2.0)

My copper Valve is finally ready for the wear rotation. My polarized Ikon black lenses arrived today and installed easily. Tried to find a copper/burnt orange colored icon but no luck. Thinking I might try 'painting' my own. :cool:🤙

Back in the days when I was more actively doing 3D modeling and printing of props and prop replicas I used a ‘lot’ of Modern Masters Metallic Effect paints. Great stuff and easy to use. Paint it on…add the reagent and voila! The paint has actual metal in it so the reactions are real and will continue unless you clear coat it. Neat stuff.

Lol. I’ve been trying a couple other metal finishes but not working out so far.
